Hopping Tots
Hopping Tots is a relaxed and friendly music stay & play group for babies, toddlers and their parents or carers. Each session is packed with well-known children's songs to sing and dance along to, using lots of props, puppets and instruments in structured but fun sessions.
Banbury U3A
Banbury U3A is part of the national University of the Third Age movement, a vibrant community for retired and semi-retired people who want to keep learning, socialising and exploring new interests. With over 30 interest groups covering everything from arts and languages to walking, history, card games and more, there's something for everyone.
Open meetings are held at LPCA twice a month (except August and December), usually featuring a guest speaker or member presentation, followed by refreshments and socialising. Interest groups meet at various times throughout the month.
Karate
Banbury Shukokai Karate has been running since 1987 and is one of the most established martial arts schools in the area. Classes cover traditional Shukokai karate including basics, kata, padwork and sparring, all taught in a friendly, family-based environment.
Suitable for children from age 5 and adults of all levels. Whether you're looking for fitness, self-discipline, self-defence, or a new challenge, there's a class for you across multiple venues in the Banbury area.
Slimming World
Deanne's Slimming World group meets every Monday at LPCA with two session times to suit your schedule. As part of the UK's leading weight-loss support programme, you'll get expert guidance on healthy eating, group support, and a proven plan that works all in a warm, friendly setting.
Your weekly fee includes both group sessions and full online membership, so you get support 7 days a week. There's a £5 joining fee for new members.
Zumba
Jo's Zumba class is a high-energy, mixed-intensity dance fitness session set to Latin and international music. It's suitable for all fitness levels, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned dancer, you'll get a brilliant full-body workout while having a great time.
Each 60-minute session combines aerobic exercise with dance styles including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Reggaeton. No experience or coordination required, just turn up, follow along, and have fun!
BEAT Fitness co
BEAT Fitness runs multiple sessions at Longford Park Community Centre each week - with their dedicated Forever Fit programme for over 55s. Every session has expert coaching, uses dumbbells and equipment, and finishes with a social tea/coffee.
Little Foxes
Little Foxes is a fun, structured introduction to football for children under 6. Sessions are split into 2 × 45-minute groups, with parents and carers getting involved to help little ones learn the basics, from hand-eye coordination and agility to scoring goals and celebrating!
Flair Dance
Flair Dance Studio is one of Oxfordshire's leading dance schools, established in 1996. They run classes at LPCA's East Hall covering contemporary, freestyle, lyrical and commercial dance for children of all abilities.
BilinguaSing
BilinguaSing is an award-winning music and language programme that introduces French to babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers through singing, drama, creative play, dance and movement. No prior French knowledge is needed — everything is done bilingually in English and French.
